In Leqingdi Township, Yuexi County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, China, Waqu Village is known locally as “the Silver Smiths’ Village”. For generations, silver ornament processing has been the pillar industry here. However, in recent years, with social changes, most young people have gone out to make a living, and the silver - smithing skills of the older generation are facing the crisis of a broken inheritance chain. I want to stay in this mountainous area. I hope that through unremitting efforts, I can preserve the exquisite skills of Yi traditional handicrafts and let this gradually fading cultural treasure reach the world.
